Giving Thanks

As the holidays creep up quickly and we get caught up with friends and family, shopping and eating....remember to give thanks. There is so much to be thankful for even when are not sure there is. I always challenge myself to give thanks to something new...of course never forgetting all of the obvious things, I challenge myself to the not so obvious. This year along with all others I want to give thanks for this moment...this very moment and to give thanks knowing that I am exactly where I am suppose to be and that His plan is so big for me. So often we are worrying about what we should have done...forgive yourself! Or we are worrying about what is coming..trust that somehow someway it will be ok. Worry indicates a lack of trust, trust that you are exactly where you are suppose to be, maybe not where YOU think you should be...but where you need to be so that you can move forward.

As we live in this moment...take a moment to really inhale and exhale. Look around and really look into the eyes of those around you. Offer a smile...a genuine smile one that warms your heart, because only then will it warm another's.

And remember as you give thanks to give back. Right now there are food drives, coat drives and shelters looking for donations so that they may prepare a meal for those that are homeless. Be thankful for the roof over your head, the food on your plate, the warmth of family and that now you can give back and do not forget to include your children!

I have so much to be thankful for it would take days to list...so today I want to give thanks for this moment and for all of the soldiers and their families that allow this moment to be. God bless them and God bless each of you.
